Premier's Council members are business and community leaders appointed by the Premier of Alberta as ambassadors
for Alberta's Promise. They welcome Alberta's Promise into the community, share the benefits of partnership with local
organizations, and help identify partnership opportunities that benefit children and their families.

Meet the Premier's Council
Premier's Council members are Alberta's Promise ambassadors in communities across Alberta.
President and Owner, RGO Office Products
Kenneth Barry is President and Owner of RGO Office Products Edmonton Ltd. and a member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization. Kenneth moved to Edmonton from Ontario in 1996 to start RGO Office Products Edmonton Ltd. He serves as Chairman of the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce and is a former member of the young Entrepreneurs' Organization. Kenneth is passionate about helping Albertans with disabilities and has served on a number of non-profit boards.
President and CEO, Williams Group of Companies
Naseem Bashir is President and Chief Executive Officer of the Williams Group of Companies. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and sat on a number of boards and committees including the Edmonton Community Foundation and Stollery Children's Hospital. Naseem has received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal and is a community leader who believes strongly in giving back to the community.
President & Chief Executive Officer, Quikcard Solutions Inc.
Lyle Best is the CEO of Quikcard Solutions Inc. and chairs or is a director of numerous corporate boards across Canada and abroad. He is a leader in the emerging field of social entrepreneurship and his charitable work is extensive: Barry has served on the boards of numerous non-profits, as a Senator at the University of Alberta, as a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and as a member of the Premier's Council on Alberta's Promise since its inception. He has received recognition and awards for his corporate, philanthropic, and varied contributions, including induction into the Alberta Business Hall of Fame and recipient of the Alberta Centennial Medal, the Premier's Award of Excellence and most recently the Order of Canada.
President, Global Trends Research
Mr. Allan Bleiken is the President of Global Trends Research. He has had a career spanning the oil industry, telecommunications, economic development, advanced education, and global research.
Diane Brickner is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Peace Hills General Insurance, having retired from this post in January, 2015. Diane strongly values being a business and community leader and serves on a number of boards and committees including the Board of Governors for NAIT, the Edmonton Eskimos Football Team and the Edmonton Chapter of the International Women's Forum.
Wilf Brooks is co-owner of United Cycle Source for Sports, a company that has been serving the Edmonton sporting community since 1928. He is also the co-founder of Sports Central, whose goal is to give more underserved children the opportunities to get involved in sports. As the fourth generation of the Brooks family to operate United Cycle, he stands behind their role of uniting people through the spirit of sport. He is also active in other projects across the province and has received a number of awards for his work benefitting the Edmonton community.
Property Assessor, Red Deer County
Karen Burnand is a Property Assessor with Red Deer County and Chief Executive Officer of the Piper Creek Housing Foundation. Karen is a strong advocate for seniors housing and serves on a number of local and provincial boards. She also volunteers with the 4-H program in her community.
Gary Campbell Q.C.
Counsel, Miller Thompson LLP
Gary Campbell is Counsel at the law firm of Miller Thomson. Active in the business community, he is President of GGC Consultants Inc., Director of Trans Global Insurance Company and Trans Global Life Insurance Company and has served as a director on a number of other business boards. Gary is the co-chairman of the Board of Governors, The Miller Thomson Foundation and serves as a director on a number of charities including the Kids Kottage Foundation
Investment Advisor, RBC Dominion Securities Inc.
Dennis Chinner is an Investment Advisor with Chinner Wealth Management for RBC Dominion Securities Inc. in Lethbridge. He most recently joined the University of Lethbridge, Faculty of Management Business Advisory Committee. He is an active community advocate and has served on a number of boards and committees including the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, Royal Canadian Legion, United Way, and Junior Achievement.
Team Commander, ASIRT
Gary Creasser served Alberta for thirty years in the area of policing. Gary is currently the Team Commander for the south region of the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team. He is an active volunteer in his community dedicating time to the Canadian Cancer Society and Canadian Heart and Stroke Fund. Gary is President of the Calgary Police Credit Union Board of Directors.
