The Canadian Institute of Natural and Integrative Medicine (CINIM), a Calgary-based charity, has announced a fundraising concert series called Hearts & Minds. This inaugural event is in support of BreathingRoom™, CINIM’s program for youth mental health and well-being. The concert will be held Saturday June 2, 2018, 7PM at the Leacock Theatre, Mount Royal University. This inspirational event features singers John Stringer – a soul stirring U.S musician, and Amy Bishop – a passionate Canadian performer, as well as ReFreshed Crew, a local youth dance troupe.
One million youth in Canada are living with a mental illness. Anxiety levels, suicide rates, and depression are increasing at an alarming rate. 800,000 vulnerable Canadian youth require mental health care but do not receive it due to long wait times for consultation/therapy, cost, and stigma. BreathingRoom™ can help.
BreathingRoom™ is CINIM’s flagship e-mental health program clinically proven to reduce anxiety and mild to moderate depression in adolescents and young adults aged 13 to 24. Your support can help a young person struggling with mental health access BreathingRoom™, an effective, affordable, evidence-based mental health resource.
Hearts & Minds will be a tremendous opportunity to raise funds and awareness for BreathingRoom™. Come out and enjoy this inspirational evening of music and dance. You’ll have an opportunity to make a donation during the show.
